How to upload and organize your documents

Uploading Documents

Upload documents to keep your financial records organized and accessible.

Using the Upload Zone

  1. Navigate to Documents from the sidebar
  2. Click the Upload button or drag files directly into the upload zone
  3. The system will:
    • Detect the file type automatically
    • Suggest a document category based on the filename
  4. Select or confirm the document type from the dropdown
  5. Add optional tags for easier searching
  6. Click Upload to save

Bulk Upload

Upload multiple files at once:

  1. Select multiple files from your computer, or
  2. Drag multiple files into the upload zone
  3. Review each file's document type
  4. Upload all files together

Document Types

Choose the appropriate type when uploading:

Adding Tags

Tags help you find documents later:

  • Add descriptive tags like "Q3", "2024", "vendor-name"
  • Use consistent naming for easier filtering
  • Multiple tags can be added to each document

Tips

  • Use clear, descriptive filenames before uploading
  • PDF format is recommended for most documents
  • Ensure scanned images are legible
  • Add tags immediately for better organization
