Company management
Create, switch between, deactivate, and reactivate companies
Company management
Create multiple companies under one account, switch between them, and control their active status. The number of companies you can create depends on your subscription plan.
Creating a company
- Open the company switcher in the sidebar
- Click Create New Company
- Fill in your company details (name, GSTIN, PAN, address)
- Click Create
If you've used all your company slots, you'll see a prompt to upgrade your plan.
Switching between companies
Click the company switcher in the sidebar to see all your companies. Select any company to switch to it. Active and inactive companies are listed separately.
Company status
Each company has one of two statuses:
| Status | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Active | Full access — create, edit, and delete records |
| Inactive | View-only mode — browse and export data, but no changes allowed |
View-only mode
When a company is inactive, it enters view-only mode:
- You can view all records, reports, and documents
- You cannot create, edit, or delete any records
- AI features are disabled
- All team members see the same restrictions
A banner at the top of the page indicates when you're in view-only mode.
Deactivating a company
A company becomes inactive when:
- Your subscription expires
- You manually deactivate it from company settings
Your data is fully preserved. Nothing is deleted.
Reactivating a company
To bring a company back to active status:
- Open the company switcher
- Click the inactive company
- Click Reactivate
Reactivation requires either an active subscription or an available company slot. If your subscription has expired, renew it first from Settings → Billing.
What team members see
When a company is inactive:
- Team members can still sign in and view data
- Write actions (creating invoices, running payroll, etc.) are blocked
- Team members with AI access lose it until the company is reactivated
